If you love to take pictures, and your phone is running out of storage, then you may consider to backup your photos to free some memory. You can choose to backup photos locally, on a USB drive or external HDD, somehow there is no guarantee of data lost due to the drive failure.
Here is a suggestion, introducing to you the Google Photos which allows you to store unlimited photos on Cloud.

Android Users
There is no hard time for Android users to start using the Google Photos. You have already registered for a Google Account, in order to use your Android device. Simply click on the Google Photos application and start to synchronize your photos.
iOS Users
The iOS users with 64GB mobile storage are recommended to use Google Photos. The iCloud will provide you 5GB, but that seems not to be enough.
You will need to register a Google Account if you don’t have one. Download the Google Photos from the App Store and start to upload your photos.
Things You Should Know
Somehow the photos stored in Google Photos have some of the limitations:
- Images: 16MP
- Videos: 1080p
So if your image is 40MP, so it will be compressed to 16MP, same goes for the videos.
Alternative Options
There are other options where you can try. These applications will allow you to share your photos, and your photos will be stored in your account too.
But bare in mind, you are uploading photos to a social media platform, so you may concerns about your privacy settings.
Well, I’m going for my coffee now. Enjoy taking your photos.
